Mechanical Design Engineer Ethertronics

The Mechanical Design Engineer will design and develop internal antennas and antenna modules for various devices such as cellular telephones, lap top computers and RFID devices from concept to high volume production. This individual will be responsible for designing and validate wireless parts design and assemblies, from concept to high manufacturing volumes, while maintaining high quality for manufacturability. Other duties include but are not limited to: developing, managing & sustaining engineering projects; tools development schedules, drawing packages, bills of materials. We are looking for a self-directed individual with strong communication skills and the ability to multitask.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years experience in the electronic industry required.
Solid experience in designing sheet metal parts (progressive and soft tool and designing plastic parts for injection molding required.
Proficient using CAD tools in the design of sheet metal, and plastic parts.
Proficient in PRO Engineer Wilde Fire 2.0, Sheet Metal, Assemblies and Drawings required.
Must be able proficient with Pro-E 3.0 3D, Pro-E 4.0 3D, CAM350 6.0, 2D (Gerber, DXF) Pro-E 5.03D, PADS, PCB Layout.
Prototype metal and plastics using CNC CAD/CAM and hand tools required.
Proficient in use of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.
Ability to work well in a fast paced team environment.
Excellent communications skills required.
Must be able to work evenings in support of international office locations.
Some travel to Asia will be required.
Must be able to effectively handle tight timelines and changing priorities.
Other duties as assigned.
