Analyzes machines (both dispensers and unit dose packagers) for root causes of issues. Suggests corrective actions to hardware and software teams. Participates in reviewing and executing protocols to test the system changes prior to production implementation. Assists in the authoring of Quick Reference Guides and SOPs. Monitors and analyzes system performance. Supervises the maintenance team ensuring appropriate shift coverage and preventative and corrective actions.
Single point of contact for the technical process support, development, and maintenance of assigned products; to own, optimize, and ensure the performance of critical manufacturing and packaging work centers; and identify and execute process improvement projects.
Day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to: provide technical process support for the scale up and/or transfer in of new products and/or process changes due to materials, equipment, or other environmental factors; facilitate resolution of material supplier issues; investigate and resolve production problems; maintain product lifecycle documents; participate in site-wide priorities and lean initiatives.
Project work includes, but is not limited to: coordinate, conduct and evaluate experiments and trial production batches for material changes (packaging components); identify and execute cost savings and process improvement projects; provide technical risk assessments and justification documents.
Responsibilities will include mechanical process development/ troubleshooting, drawing control, project management and process improvements.
Improve process reliability and reduce cost.
Collaborate with vendors on equipment design, purchase and validation.
Identify and analyze process and equipment problems; organize, manage and complete corrective action.
Define training and preventive maintenance programs to optimize and maintain equipment.
Project Management related to vendors and process improvements.
Create and initiate machinery and process test protocols.
Maintain mechanical/ electrical drawings and machinery documentation. Develop, update and distribute drawings from file.
Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Packaging Engineering, or related Engineering field
5 years (7 years preferred) in related field experience in pharmaceutical packaging/ processing or
Experience in a ?controlled? production environment.
Project or Business Management experience.
Machinery design/ maintenance and support experience.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written with English as the primary language.
Must have exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead, strong problem solving
abilities, and a strong customer service focus.
Must be dependable with ability to be flexible, function independently and works under pressure with
multiple tasks and deadlines. Must have strong organizational, time management skills, ability to
troubleshoot and problem solve.

requires effective interpersonal skills exhibiting a pleasant out-going and caring attitude, the ability to
interact positively with a professional attitude and demeanor.
