ABT Molecular Imaging was founded in 2006 with the mission to provide access to all significant F-18 and C-11 PET biomarkers to imaging providers, both clinical and pre-clinical. ABT develops, manufactures, and markets ?PET Biomarker Generators? for the medical and biotechnology industries. The PET Biomarker Generator is designed to produce ?Dose-on-Demand? short half-life fluorine-18 and carbon-11 radiopharmaceuticals for PET imaging.The Mechanical Engineer is a key player on the team in the development of chemistry and quality control methods and processes for our novel, fully automated PET Biomarker Generator.
This role includes the development of devices, instrumentation, and consumable PET biomarker kits.
Responsibilities/Duties:
??Design of mechanical components for automated chemistry synthesis systems
??Manufacturing support for current generation of cyclotron particle accelerators and chemistry systems
??Work cross-functionally with chemistry, engineering, manufacturing and procurement departments
??Collaboration with multi-discipline team to prepare and design system improvements
Qualifications:
Required:
??Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering
??3-8 years of experience in precision mechanical and electromechanical design
??5,000 hours of experience with solid modeling
??Experience in low to mid volume manufacturing
Preferred:
??Experience with cyclotron design and maintenance a plus
??Experience with SolidWorks
??Experience with technical writing
??Experience with Visual Basic, C, and/or LabView
??Experience with automated chemistry and miniature fluidic instrumentation
