General Summary:
Analyzes machines (both dispensers and unit dose packagers) for root causes of issues. Suggests corrective actions to hardware and software teams. Reviews third party equipment designs for appropriateness and reliability. Participates in reviewing and executing protocols to test the system changes prior to production implementation. Assists in the authoring of Quick Reference Guides and SOPs.
Essential Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include mechanical process development/ troubleshooting, drawing control, project management and process improvements.
Improve process reliability and reduce cost.
Collaborate with vendors on equipment design, purchase and validation.
Identify and analyze process and equipment problems; organize, manage and complete corrective action.
Define training and preventive maintenance programs to optimize and maintain equipment.
Project Management related to vendors and process improvements.
Create and initiate machinery and process test protocols.
Maintain mechanical/ electrical drawings and machinery documentation. Develop, update and distribute drawings from file.
Specifications
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Packaging Engineering, or related Engineering field (Chemical, etc.)
Experience:
5 years (7 years preferred) in related field experience in pharmaceutical packaging/ processing or equivalent
Experience in a ?controlled? production environment.
Project or Business Management experience.
Machinery design/ maintenance and support experience.
Communication:
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written with English as the primary language. Must have exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead, strong problem solving abilities, and a strong customer service focus.
Complexity:
Must be dependable with ability to be flexible, function independently and works under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines. Must have strong organizational, time management skills, ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
Preferences/Desired Skills:
Supply Chain/ vendor management, AutoCAD/ SolidWorks
Contact with Others:
High frequency of contact with employees and customers with limited contact with guests and vendors requires effective interpersonal skills exhibiting a pleasant out-going and caring attitude, the ability to interact positively with a professional attitude and demeanor.
