Mechanical Engineer - Power Electronics Tesla Motors

Tesla Motors develops cutting-edge electric vehicle and electric powertrain technology. We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer on the Power Electronics Team.

Roles and responsibilities:
Detailed design and development of packaging, thermal management, or manufacturing technology for high power motor controller or vehicle charge systems.
Collaborative work with mechanical, electrical, and thermal design engineers.
Validation of mechanical systems in dynamic and environmental conditions
Essential skills and experience:
Experience with two or more of the following: injection molding, stamping, extrusions, die casting, sheet metal.
Experience with product validation, FMEA analysis, and test system architecture
Experience with automotive environmental and safety requirements
Experience with medium or high volume product design for manufacturing
Detail oriented approach to testing with solid documentation and reporting skills
Qualifications:
BSME considered, MS preferred in Mechanical Engineering
At least 5 years of experience
