Description:Details: Requirements and qualifications for the Tier 4 Applications Engineer. This engineer will be located in Peoria or Chicago and will have to travel in the Midwest quite a bit to support sales efforts (as a technical resource). Job Description: The purpose of this role is to participate in the sales process ? To understand the requirements of the customer and communicate the portfolio of engineering functions. ? The engineer will be able to provide firsthand knowledge of our processes, capabilities and recent project successes. ? Upon acceptance of a proposal the sales engineer will be able to begin the process of documenting the customers? statement of work, CAD specification and begin the pilot project. ? The candidate must be fluent in CAD and have the ability to create and present in design reviews with the customers engineering groups. ? A primary function of this role is to begin the project quickly and be able to transition the project to a long(er) term engineer once he/she arrives. ? Project Management of projects that may not require an on-site engineer and provide sales support to the Cambric Sales team. ? A secondary function will be to provide insight to formulating a value statement for the customers and metrics that show the savings and value of our engagement.
Duties:Knowledge & experience: Heavy equipment and diesel engines will be a focus of position; the engineer must be knowledgeable on the emissions regulations and technologies used to achieve these requirements. Required Skills: CAD system experience; Order of Preference; Pro/Engineer, Unigraphics (NX), SolidWorks, Catia Public speaking, presentation skills Project Management
Qualifications:Required Skills: CAD system experience -- Order of Preference: Pro/Engineer, Unigraphics (NX), SolidWorks, Catia Public speaking, presentation skills Project Management ? Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required ? 5+ yeasrs Design experience in heavy equipment, construction or mining equipment industry a plus hands-on experience desired ? Pro/E experience required
