Description:
Product engineering, project management, customer liaison.
This candidate will be required to create / modify railroad maintenance machines.
Involved geometry will be structural components and hydraulic components using Solid Edge Software. This individual will work along side of the client's engineers to develop new railroad maintenance machine mechanisms, operator CAB's and structural systems. The candidate should be experienced with steel fabrication and machine creation principles, with experience in heavy equipment or similar.
Duties:
The candidate will be expected to participate in pilot builds of the new machines, directing work to our offshore team in Romania and overseeing the development activities required to support our customer.
Other skills that will be beneficial will be analysis background, fabrication experience and various mechanism systems methods. Project management, estimating, quality assurance of our deliverables is a requirement.
Qualifications:? Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
? 5 + years Design experience in heavy equipment, construction or mining equipment industry a plus
? Solid Edge experience required
- FMEA, GDT, TeamCenter, experience
- Engine Instaff, Chassis and Heavy equipment background
- Past experience communicating with customers and transferring customer requests into statements of work for off-site team.
