Mechanical Maintenance Technician, Weekend Shift
SAGE is currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the weekend shift maintenance team. We are looking for individuals who have experience in a manufacturing setting with the ability to produce a high quality product. Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and work in a team environment along with having good computer skills. Individuals must also have a high standard for safety, a background in industrial machine maintenance, equipment repairs and improvements, and troubleshooting experience.
Responsibilities:
Perform equipment troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and improvements to increase equipment uptime.
Support the Maintenance Department in maintaining plant equipment, PM?s and predictive maintenance.
Maintain paper and electronic files of equipment manuals.
Ability to perform basic machining, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, and fabrication work.
Disassemble, clean, and rebuild various pieces of equipment.
Assist engineering and operations departments with various mechanical projects
View and interpret North American and European mechanical drawings and manuals, pneumatic and vacuum schematics.
Maintain accurate records in the CMMS with regard to inspections and preventative /predictive maintenance and inventory of spare parts, and consumables.
Audit and Verify LOTO-Try Out (TO) Procedures
Perform non-scheduled or emergency maintenance when required (24/7/365) to support operations and maintenance.
Ability to maintain productivity and positive attitude, ability to foster a team environment.
Must be safety conscious and abide by all workplace policies and procedures.
Perform other tasks as required to support production of SageGlass. Perform all other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills:
2 yr Associate's degree in Engineering-Technology or technical discipline with a minimum of 3 years? industrial maintenance experience.
Knowledge and experience with Equipment Lock Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Excellent troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis capabilities.
Hands on experience with industrial equipment troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance.
Familiar with industrial drive and motion systems, robots, pumps, fans, washers, filter units, and glass handling equipment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
