Mechanical Program Manager Avo Photonics
To support its continued exciting growth, Avo is seeking an individual that can fill the role of Mechanical Program Manager. This is a senior engineering position that reports directly to the CTO.Responsibilities
Manage multiple photonic-based programs, provide system engineering direction to internal Team, and present technical, schedule, and cost data to customer.
Perform engineering analysis of product requirements and assist in deriving mechanical solutions.
Create mechanical models of component designs
Perform tolerance analysis to ensure required optical tolerances are met mechanically
Perform thermal analysis of designs to ensure adequate thermal management
Manage project budget including both material and engineering resources
Create opto-mechanical prototypes for demonstrating performance and testing
Assist in component sourcing and vendor management
Prepare and present technical status reviews
Requirements
B.Eng. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (MSME preferred)
Experience with program/project management or system engineering
Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling software
Experience with opto-mechanical tolerance analysis
Experience with thermal analysis
Understanding of opto-mechanical component assembly / packaging processes
Fluency in the production of prototype opto-mechanical breadboards using standard components desired
Strong verbal and written communication skills
US Citizen
