SAY Media is seeking a Media Development Manager to support and contribute to the Media team. SAY Media identifies and partners with the passionate creators building audience and shaping opinion online. Aligning with these real community influencers lends credibility and authenticity to marketing campaign and helps drive brand conversations online.
We are seeking a hungry, results-oriented and hard working individual to help grow SAY Media's partnerships by adding passionate content creators, blogs and websites. This position is based in our Sydney office and reports to the VP of Media in San Francisco.
The ideal candidate is ambitious and looking for challenging work environment that will accelerate their career growth. The candidate must be very organized and detail oriented. Great communication skills are a must. Candidate must be willing to work in a rapid growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Recruit domestic publishers to increase volume of direct and indirect inventory to ensure campaign delivery
- Manage existing publisher relationships to ensure availability of inventory within reasonable margins
- Ensure appropriate solutions to internal and external technical issues
- Monitor partner costs and engagement rates on a regular basis
- Investigate potential risk factors (partners, technical issues) and ensure these are dealt with in a timely manner
- Monitor demand vs supply and adjust impression levels accordingly
- Optimise partners and placements to lower partner costs
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in publisher recruiting and development
- Existing Rolodex of publisher contacts
- Evidence of creative deal-making from previous jobs
- Superior verbal and written communication, organization, presentation skills
- Evidence of analytical ability, using metrics to identify and prioritize issues
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and excellent self-management skills
- Outstanding coordination and communication skills, including the ability to effectively work across functional teams
- Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet proficiency a must; previous experience using Salesforce.com highly desirable

- Fearless cold-caller. Ability to execute against a lead list on email and phone.
- Excellent written and oral communications â€" must be persuasive with a pen and in person. Must independently represent the company well.
- Strong research skills â€" must be able to mine the web for useful publisher information.
- Comfortable with technology â€" able to get up to speed quickly.
- Resourceful â€" must be creative with finding the right person to approach at each publisher. Must not take “no†for an answer!
- High energy a must. Team player with positive attitude.
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment.
