Medicinal Chemist CoMentis

CoMentis is engaged in the discovery and development of innovative small-molecule drugs to treat neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer?s disease, and cognitive disorders. We are seeking a talented and highly motivated medicinal chemist to work in a positive, energetic and challenging drug discovery and development environment. Work activities for this exciting position are centered on the design, synthesis, purification and characterization of organic compounds for the treatment of various therapeutic targets.

This individual should possess expertise in synthetic organic chemistry as well as the generation and interpretation of analytical data for the characterization of small molecules (NMR, FTIR, HPLC, TLC, etc.). Candidates should be skilled in proper laboratory notebook documentation. Experience in parallel synthesis and small library production is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have an M.S. in organic chemistry with experience in medicinal chemistry. The individual should have 5-10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical research setting. Position requires strong communication, inter-personal and problem-solving skills, computer skills and capability to work independently with direction from management team. The position includes an attractive benefit and salary package commensurate with experience. This position is located at our Oklahoma City, OK research facility.
