Member of Technical Staff: DevOps Engineer WibiData
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Type: Full Time
Min. Experience: Mid Level
About the Role:
We?re seeking our first Dev Ops Engineer who will transform our startup?s business and engineering infrastructure into an enterprise-level environment. You?ll have the opportunity to design, build and maintain efficient infrastructure that drives applications on top of Hadoop, HBase and Cassandra. The right candidate will be focused on innovation and automation, as well as enabling and supporting the company with systems engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and R&D.
At first, you?ll be building out our infrastructure for providing personalized experiences for eCommerce sites. In the future, we?ll want you to build upon your ideas about how to become a more effective engineering organization in areas like continuous deployment, monitoring, automated testing, etc.
WibiData believes experience is everything. We build software to help companies personalize their customer experiences in real time. We?re a rapidly growing San Francisco startup with venture backing from Eric Schmidt, Mike Olson, Canaan Partners, NEA and others. Our team is comprised of people who have experience solving hard problems that matter at companies like Amazon, Cloudera, Google, and LinkedIn. So far, we've built a robust enterprise grade platform allowing Retail companies to bring personalization in-house on distributed systems, and open sourced The Kiji Project which allows developers to build applications on top of Hadoop, HBase and Cassandra. We haven?t figured it all out yet, and that?s where you come in. Each member of our team comes to work excited to learn, work collaboratively and build software that enables enterprises to provide truly personalized experiences for each individual customer.
We look for candidates to stand out technically - we?re solving tough problems and we?re searching for bright minds. We also look for candidates that are able to articulate their thought process and rationale; as they say - communication is key. The best candidates want to continuously learn and share their own expertises (in and out of the office) with the rest of our team. In return, Wibis provide endless entertainment, skydiving partners, baked goods made from scratch and hiking advice.
