Member of Technical Staff - Reports Fortify Software

We are looking for talented individuals who have a track record success to join our server team and help create the world's leading software security technologies. In this position, in addition to working with the team to build new solutions for our customers, you will be focusing on designing and implementing critical customer facing reports as well as building the right reporting infrastructure. The ideal candidate must not only have good UI design skills to design beautiful, professional looking reports but also be comfortable using data cubes, SQL queries, etc to actually implement the reports as well as build the report infrastructure to enable customers to easily create new, customized reports for themselves.
Responsibilities

Work with customers and product management to build new solutions and beautiful professional looking reports
Implement the reports using BIRT, including creating complex and performant SQL queries
Build reporting infrastructure that performs, scales, and is extensible
Build server/web application that manages customer's security process, policy, and data, enabling corporations to mitigate their security risk
Design and develop server-side code for new server product features
Exert significant latitude in determining objectives of assignment and provide guidance and direction across group(s)
Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of software development experience
Good UI design skills, specifically in the area of reporting, with an eye for detail
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Good understanding of J2EE technology is highly desired
Experience with reporting technologies such as BIRT and Crystal Reports
Good understanding and experience with reporting & data warehousing concepts
Background in SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and data modeling
