Member of Technical Staff (Software Engineer) Job #33 SeaMicro
Duties:Work with the systems, ASIC and Product Management teams to architect, design and implement embedded application and device driver software for SeaMicro?s next generation Data Center appliances.
Responsibilities include architecture, design, implementation and sustaining of system management and device driver software for storage devices and servers.
System Management functions include Chassis initialization and monitoring, Configuration handling and synchronization, fault detection and failure recovery, statistics collection and a robust IPC mechanism for inter process communication.
Implement the device driver API in standard BSD/Linux based platforms and higher level application control software.
Create sufficient technical document including technical specifications, theory of operations and recommendations for test methodology.
Minimum Requirements:
Master?s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer or Embedded Engineer required. The required 2 years of experience must include using C, having developed device drivers and asynchronous IPC modules.
