You will be responsible for writing, editing, improving, and assessing content designed to help educate and inform the Etsy community. About the Help Content Team
Under the umbrella of Etsy?s Member Operations Team, Help Content writes, edits, and ensures the quality of public-facing and internal content that helps keep Etsy?s community informed. This content not only answers questions, but also empowers and provides confidence to the Etsy membership. We want to make sure everyone, from the part-time crafter to the full-time seller, knows how to use Etsy and its features.
Staying in line with Etsy?s goals as a company, Help Content is focused on clear communication, helping where help is needed, and providing the community with the tools and knowledge they need to be successful on Etsy. We work with and across many other teams with these goals in mind.
About the Position
You will work closely with the Content Manager for Member Operations, our team of Content Specialists, and other content creators across the company.
Write and edit winning copy for public-facing FAQs and internal documents that lead, rather than instruct, Etsy members into action.
Help guarantee that copy is accurate and helpful, while following a tone and voice that reflects Etsy?s values.
Communicate and coordinate with other stakeholders across the company regarding content relating to product and feature changes.
Assist in analyzing and keeping the Help Content library organized and up-to-date.
Be capable of pitching and running your own content projects.
A strong and clear writer with an editor's eye, looking out for grammar and spelling errors.
Able to quickly write and edit content intended for a variety of audiences across multiple media channels.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work well under deadline.
Organized and able to self-manage.
Understands the importance of documentation and tracking trends in content use.
Familiar with Google Docs, Google Calendar, Word, Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote.
Familiar with a common editorial style guide, such as Chicago Manual of Style or Associated Press Style.
Able to use and are familiar with Content Management Systems (CMS).
A collaborative and creative self-starter who responds well to constructive criticism.
Familiar with data analysis and able to make decisions with the help of data.
Extra Credit: You are an Etsy seller and are very familiar with Etsy?s community.
