Placemark develops, implements and supports wealth solutions, including Unified Managed Account
platforms and retirement solutions for broker/dealers, registered investment advisors, banks and family

sponsor?s proprietary UMA platform. In 2010, Placemark additionally developed and launched UMA
, an open architecture UMA platform for independent advisors and managers seeking access and
distribution in the independent RIA market. UMA Marketplace
is a key element of the firm?s growth plans
for the near future with the industry in the early stages of significant product innovation. To supplement the
portfolio management capabilities of UMA Marketplace
, the company launched an online community for
industry professionals called BeyondAlpha? in 2013. In conjunction, BeyondAlpha? and UMA
create a unique environment for entrepreneurial, RIA business-owners to learn, network and
implement solutions for their clients while concurrently providing significant growth opportunities for
Placemark and its shareholders.
The Member Support Specialist is an entry-level position for a candidate willing to work hard, learn quickly
and maintain organization and strong-attention to detail. The Member Support Specialist will have a great
opportunity to get involved in a ground-level opportunity and play an integral role on the BeyondAlpha
team. The Member Support Specialist will gain exposure to client service and marketing within the financial
services industry and will work out of Placemark?s Wellesley, MA office.
Specific duties will include:
Member Enrollment and Support (50%)
The Member Support Specialist will primarily be responsible for the successful review and setup of new
users joining BeyondAlpha. This person will own the user enrollment process including the successful
review and setup of new users. The Member Support Specialist should be extremely organized and able to
manage users in different stages of the enrollment process including the coordination with various software
systems. Additionally, the Member Support Specialist will handle inbound site-related questions and escalate
issues to appropriate team members.
Community Development (20%)
The Member Support Specialist will support the Community Manager in efforts to identify timely, industry
topics and trends for content within community. Additionally, the Member Support Specialist will aid in
outreach efforts and write content for membership enrollment and engagement.
Data analysis (20%)
The Member Support Specialist will support BeyondAlpha?s data analysis by playing an integral role in
maintaining a database of all data results of marketing and community engagement activities.
Miscellaneous Additional Marketing (10%)
The Member Support Specialist will support online community activities including email marketing
campaigns, webinars, and other events that support engagement and user enrollment.

Knowledge & Experience
o Some understanding of the brokerage industry and its products with emphasis on advisory services
and fee-based products preferred, but not necessary.
o Strong writing and editing skills.
o Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office applications is required.
o Willing to consider recent graduates from exclusive colleges and universities.
o Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines is essential.
o Familiarity with Google analytics is a plus.
o College undergraduate degree
o Must be organized and able to communicate effectively with various teams ensure deadlines are met.
o Must be comfortable working under pressure.
o Desire to take responsibility, maintain strong attention to details and rapidly complete tasks.
