Through heavy outbound calling and email follow-up, the Membership Engagement Associate's primary goal is to generate interest in membership and events and secure interviews for our Commentator Network. Outbound telemarketing efforts and making updates to our CRM system will make up the majority of your day.
The role will also focus on engaging the members you recruit by ensuring that benefits are received and utilized. The Individual in this position will gain broad exposure to a variety of senior IT executives and fundamental business concepts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
?Prospecting and developing sales leads to generate interest and interaction (via phone and email) with senior-level executives to join the network
?Educating executives about our membership, events and studies
?Researching industry and company trends to identify opportunities for membership development
?Tracking and entering activities and information in Salesforce.com and related IT systems/shared network resources
?Coordinating with Research Associates and member-services staff for status on interviews from commentators to ensure that the delivery commitment to members is met
?Supporting new and existing commentators with questions about benefits and the network (including answering inbound calls and emails)
?Facilitating cancellations or changes in bookings and communicating the changes with the Research Associates
?Emphasizing member benefits, discussing value and preparing follow-up details for network members
?Completing ad hoc projects, database updates and administrative requests as needed
Desired Skills & Experience
?College education (4-year degree) with an exceptional academic record
?1-3 years post-college business experience in sales and marketing role (preferred)
?Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com experience (preferred)
?Goal-orientated with a strong work ethic
?Ownership of activity performance and career management
?Ability to present professionally and intelligently to internal and external constituencies
?Superior communication skills that generate interest and engage audiences
?High level of poise, judgment and attention to detail
?Established time management and prioritization skills
?Adaptability and flexibility with a high resistance to stress
