Main responsibilities include the design and modeling of MEMS sensors such as gyroscopes, accelerometers and pressure sensors. Design work includes choosing MEMS architecture, high-level modeling, mechanical and electrostatic modeling, simulation of process variation, and layout. Test data is used to verify design and improve modeling.
The position will require for the individual to work closely other disciplines including: MEMS process, circuit designers, package designers, test engineers, and system level modeling.
Candidate will need to hold a minimum of a MS, PhD preferred in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics. Postgraduate work should be MEMS area of study
3 or more years direct experience in designing MEMS sensors. Gyroscope design experience preferred.
Must be able perform MEMS design including writing MEMS specification, architecture, modeling, MEMS layout, DRC etc.
Experience with FEA modeling (e.g. Ansys) :
Thermo-mechanical modeling of package effects
Experience with data analysis software such as JMP, Matlab
