The Merchandising Production Associate is responsible for driving the back-end process of final art file requirements and product setup. His/her main goal is to work closely with our Merchandising Production Team to prepare, setup and launch our collections against aggressive deadlines. S/he must have a strong interest in technology and production, strong communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities. A successful Merchandising Production Associate must be capable of identifying, trouble-shooting and resolving setup issues to ensure timely and error-free launches of new products. S/he must show initiative and ability to adapt to changing schedules and tasks. S/he must be detail-oriented, organized and a fast learner. A ?can-do? attitude with full accountability is a must for this position. This is an entry level position based in Sunnyvale, California.Responsibilities:
Prepare design files and launch new products (requires strong technical/production skills to learn and use company-specific software to
process data, generate files and input data files into online catalog database, as well as perform thorough quality assurance checks on all new and existing products to ensure accurate product setup and flawless personalization process)
Identify, trouble-shoot and resolve any product setup issues
Effectively communicate challenges and/or improvements where needed as an integral and active member of the merchandising team.
Qualifications:
Minimum education level = Bachelor?s degree or equivalent
Experience in a retail company (stationery, baby, wedding or gifts) a plus
Experience in an e-commerce company a plus
Prior experience with a start-up a plus
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills:
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop is a must)
Knowledge of Dreamweaver/HTML a plus
Knowledge of digital printing technology and print production a plus
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - the ability to effectively and concisely communicate
Excellent computer and Internet skills
Complete accountability and capability of delivering against aggressive deadlines
Must be self-motivated, organized and resourceful
Ability to work efficiently with a team and willing to go above and beyond to produce high-quality work
