TechStart Program:
The nCircle TechStart Program is an 18 - 24 month program geared toward entry-level technical positions at nCircle. It is intended for very smart, motivated, college graduates with technical degrees who possess solid technical knowledge and the ability to learn the particular unique technology used at nCircle. Members of this program are responsible for delivery of content-related work throughout our product suite as well as other functions. The specific components of nCircle's products and services that are delivered by our TechStart engineers are subject to change over time, but in the near-term planned to include such work as Benchmark Data Adapters, Benchmark Metrics & Scorecards, and Business Intelligence-platform Based Reports. The salary for all TechStart positions is $35,000 annually.

Cloud-based security compliance applications are a fast growing sector in the information technology industry. We have an opportunity for a recent graduate to join our SaaS Engineering team and learn what it takes to build world-class cloud-based software.
The primary objective of the nCircle Benchmark team is to develop a series of security metrics and scorecards that allow our customers to formally measure their IT security activities. Our metrics and scorecards allow information security analysts, CTOs and CISOs to analyze and report historical trending of security performance, current security posture, continuous process improvement, and peer benchmarks.

General Overview:
The Metric Analyst position is an entry-level opportunity for someone who has a strong desire to learn about how security compliance software is designed, built and tested. S/he will be part of a team of highly experienced software engineers, QA engineers, and security metrics experts on an agile team working on our nCircle Benchmark product. The Metrics Analyst will gain vast knowledge in IT security and methodology for measuring its effectiveness.
The successful candidate must be able to be flexible, listen well and willing to learn quickly. This person should also have excellent verbal and written communications skills and a strong analytical mind.
Specific Responsibilities:
Collaborate with other members of the metrics team to translate business requirements and needs into individual business metrics and scorecards implemented in the nCircle Benchmark product.
Create and maintain existing security metrics and scorecards in our proprietary metric design tool.
Validate security metric results by comparing to existing security vendor reports. Monitor accuracy and validity.
Participate in planning and triage sessions
Required Skills and Experience
B.S. Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics or relevant field.
Understanding of databases, SQL statements/queries.
Strong ability to analyze and manipulate data. Knowledge of data visualization a plus.
Strong analytical skills, high-level detail and follow through
Some Excel knowledge required
Aptitude for problem solving and process improvement
Experience with JavaScript a plus
Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of information security a plus
Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) reports and queries a plus
