The Freescale Intern Program is a 3 month summer experience that will provide you with an opportunity to gain knowledge about Freescale?s products, business and culture. You will have the opportunity to meet with organizational leaders during lunch, work side by side with your fellow intern colleges, network at social events, and present your work to Freescale executives.
Employment begins in June 2014 and completes in August 2014.
We are looking for summer interns to be part of our engineering team designing, developing and testing leading embedded micro-controller solutions.
Candidates will be part of the Software and Applications Team for the Microcontrollers Division of Freescale. Many projects are available for interns including:
- YOCTO/Linux development for ARM-based solutions
- Embedded Applications and driver development for ARM solutions
- Software development tools prototyping, development and testing
- Software migration into an Eclipse-based IDE
- Cloud-based services prototyping and development
- Freescale embedded products
- Freescale customer applications and solutions
Students must be currently enrolled in a BS/MS program pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. EE majors will not be considered for this position.
Student must have successfully completed of one or more courses in operating systems related to Linux/Unix operating system kernels, windows programming or Java programming.
Experience developing software in a Linux, Android or similar RTOS environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to details
