Microsoft Infrastructure Architect Project Leadership Associates

DescriptionPLA seeks an experienced Microsoft Infrastructure Architect to help us continue to grow our Advanced Infrastructure Services practice. The position will be directly responsible for leading clients through architecture design sessions for Microsoft infrastructure related solutions along with implementing the solutions and documenting those findings in a comprehensive plan.
The position will also participate in client presales activities as well as enterprise virtualization and storage assessments, design, and implementation. This is a great opportunity to get involved with multiple platforms and expand your technical skill set.
This is a direct hire position (not contract).
Skills Required:
Experience designing and planning virtual environments around Microsoft Hyper-V and the System Center Suite, also involving high-availability and clustering leveraging SAN technologies
Experience with the Microsoft System Center Suite (2007 and 2012) particularly Virtual Machine Manager, App Controller, Operations Manager, Data Protection Manager, and Orchestrator (Opalis)
Extensive knowledge about general virtualization and SAN best practices
Strong Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2008 R2 and 2003. Technologies include Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services, DirectAccess, Clustering, Network Access Protection, Dynamic Access Control, BranchCache, and others.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure services
Basic knowledge of storage products such as StorSimple, EMC (CLARiiON, Celerra and VNX), NetApp, etc as it pertains to leveraging virtualization
Experience with multi-server environments running VMWare ESX/ESXi/vSphere products and associated management applications (vCenter Server, Orchestrator, Veeam, etc.)
Knowledge of Datacenter infrastructure including DNS, PXE, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, MS Exchange, AntiVirus, Security
Knowledge of server hardware platforms such as HP, Dell, and Cisco UCS.
Experience with SQL Server a plus
Experience with LAN/WAN a plus
Certifications:
Microsoft virtualization certifications
Microsoft System Center certifications
VMware VCP 4 a plus
