Microsoft Systems Engineer (Support) LightEdge Solutions
Reports to: Manager, Premier Support Group
Location: Des Moines, IA
Objectives:
Provide courteous and professional service support to LightEdge clients both internal and external. Ensure high availability and stability of client services.
Specific Assignments:
Provide client support and technical issue resolution via telephone, e-mail, and other electronic communication methods
Identify, correct, and advise on incidents related to client services
Escalate service requests and incidents as required
Continually monitoring the health of the company?s Hosted Services infrastructure, responding quickly to problems, and proactively troubleshooting irregularities before they become service-impacting issues
Document and communicate service disruptions to the client and LightEdge management
Understand the LightEdge service catalog
Participate in after-hours (24x7) support on-call rotation
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Associate degree in Information Technology or a related discipline preferred, an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
MCITP for Windows Server or Exchange preferred, VMware VCP preferred
2-3 years of experience with Information Technology hardware and software support
Practical experience troubleshooting Exchange Server and Windows Server performance problems.
Experience with the support of Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010, Active Directory
Virtualization experience with VMware
Experience troubleshooting applications such as DHCP, DNS, IIS
Occasional travel may be required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for work in a collaborative team environment
Ability to multitask and operate with minimal supervision, adjusting priorities accordingly
Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress
Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to changes in technology
