Responsible for the engineering, configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of the global network, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Provides technical support to various departments and users with regard to the network. Serves as a liaison with vendors and other third-party providers. Collaborates with team members locally or virtually in remote states or countries.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience can be substituted for degree
4+ years network engineering experience
Understanding of the Open Systems Interconnections (OSI) model is a must.
Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to support users and network equipment in person and with remote administration tools.
Available off-hours periodically to support high impact projects and support international offices.
Proven strong technical troubleshooting abilities.
Must have the ability to multitask and work well independently.
Ability to diagram and inventory the network and associated resources.
Understanding of network security, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures.
Knowledge of Quality of Service (QoS) and latency implications in a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) environment.
Run and reconfigure patch cables in an organized manner.
Ability and desire to learn new skills quickly.
Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information.
Knowledge of Cisco Call Manager and Unity.
Cisco Contact Center Express is a plus.
CCNA required for this position
CCNP a plus
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include, but are not limited, to, the following:
Responsible for the engineering, configuration, installation, maintenance and upgrade of the global
Performs moderate to complex engineering, implementation and maintenance tasks on the network under minimal supervision.
Responsible for the on-going assessment and upgrade of networks.
Responsible for configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of global VoIP architecture.
Collects and analyzes data network statistics.
Researches, evaluates and recommends hardware and software.
Troubleshoots network problems.
