Must be able to discuss objectively pros and cons of different languages in solving problems and be willing to, after research and trial and error, let the technology decide.
Required skills
? Catalyst, modperl, DBIx (Both legacy and OO Perl, and possibly MOOSE).
? Apache - Server Performance, LDAP auth familiarity a plus,
? Mysql- Very Strong knowledge of advanced SQL query-building, optimizing, and transactional usage. Cognizance of Database Performance is a must.
? Linux(RH, Ubuntu),
? Javascript - extJS, DOJO,
? CSS,
? XML/XSLT,
? SVN,
? Testing Frameworks,
? Perl experience,
? Parallel Processing and Scaling Horizontally!
Big plus if you have
? VM Ware experience
? Hadoop/Map Reduce experience
