LightEdge Solutions provides data center colocation facilities and fully managed network and business services for medium sized businesses. LightEdge currently has colocation data centers and/or data centers under development in Iowa, and Kansas/Missouri markets. In addition LightEdge has a full suite of managed hosted cloud service offerings including Cisco UCS platforms, Virtual Server platforms, EMC Storage and back up platform and full suite of network and network management solutions.
Summary of Position:
LightEdge Solutions is currently looking to hire a Business Development Director to represent its colocation facilities as well as its hosted managed services portfolio to businesses in Illinois, St. Louis Missouri and other mid-west territories. The position will have high visibility within LightEdge senior management and will report directly to the VP of Sales.
In addition, the person will develop and manage all data center broker relationships contracted with LightEdge for colocation resale arrangements. This position is a base salary and commission oriented structure.
Responsibilities:
Direct and In-direct sales of all suite, cage, rack and managed services to prospective buyers in Illinois and other mid-west markets.
Develop and execute a territory plan.
Develop and manage colocation broker relationships.
Prospect, qualify and make sales presentations to potential customers.
Leverage internal product and technical specialists and resources to support specific client efforts.
Achieve or exceed colocation sales objectives.
Responsible for updating all sales activities through Microsoft CRM.
Prepare, complete and process all sales paperwork and documentation associated with direct and broker sales pipeline.

Qualifications:
Demonstrated history of business development or consultatively selling into C level contacts.
Proven skills and experience within the data center marketplace, Including, an excellent understanding of the latest technologies, design and challenges of today?s data center requirements.
Skills and proven experience in the market for cloud/hosted managed IT services.
ROI and total cost of ownership selling experience preferred.
Knowledge of data, IP, server, and networking technologies.
Microsoft, Cisco, EMC, VMWare knowledge a plus.
