Job Description:
Seeking a mid-level Java developer with 3-5 years of professional experience. Must be able to deal with the chaos of a rapidly growing startup environment but also be able to execute policies and strategies needed to support the complexities of mid-sized organization. A skilled developer with the ability to dig into challenging code for trouble-shooting as well as the desire to develop new functionalities in modern frameworks.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ability to quickly assimilate information and gain an intimate understanding of the underlying architecture and technology of existing products.
Demonstrate a history of creating robust, highly scalable customer facing web applications.
Mastery of object-oriented analysis and design with appropriate use of design patterns.
Expert level knowledge of Java6, servlets and JSP programming for web based applications.
Prior experience building and/or supporting multi-lingual, multi-currency ecommerce platforms.
Working knowledge of DHTML and/or AJAX is a plus.
Experience working with middle tier servlet containers or app servers (Resin, Tomcat, or JBOSS. preferred)
Experience working with relational DBs (SQL Server preferred).
Familiarity with open source IDE tools (Eclipse preferred).
Experience with open source frameworks such as Hibernate, Spring and JUnit test.
Experience building and exposing Service Oriented Architecture(s) is a plus.
Experience with JMS or other message queues a plus.
Familiarity with and experience using source control and continuous integration environments (Subversion, Maven, and Hudson preferred. Industry Experience in order of preference: ecommerce/b2b or b2c, manufacturing, procurement or supply chain management.
