The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to spend large quantities of time communicating with existing customers on the phone and through email. Creativity, problem solving and diligence are essential aspects of this position.
Job Duties include:
- Manage the contract renewals (Maintenance, Subscription, and Hosting) for assigned existing customers
- Generate qualified sales opportunities within the install base through both outbound prospecting (cold calling and cold emails) and following up on inbound leads (software and services) and pass those to Plateaus Customer Account Managers (CAMs)
- Collaborate with the CAMs to strategize on target customers to pursue, and communicate progress on gaining access into and generating opportunities within those accounts
- Work closely with Marketing on campaigns through proactive calls to support targeted initiatives and also follow-up on leads that come in from campaign offers
- Partner and coordinate with multiple groups across Plateau, including Product Consulting, Proposals and Services, to achieve sales objectives
- Meet measurable sales goals for lead development and nurturing, including an established quota for generation of qualified sales opportunities for both software and services
- Actively contribute to the attainment of software bookings and work with the larger sales and marketing team to determine the priorities and needs critical to that goal
- Document key information from sales cycles pertaining to accounts, contacts, opportunities and communications in Plateaus customer database
Required Qualifications:
- Inside Sales or Tele-sales experience (1-3 years preferred)
- Experience managing or supporting the renewals of software or services contracts is a strong plus
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; including a strong phone presence
- Ability to actively engage all levels of management in discussions around their talent management needs
- Strong sense of initiative, personal leadership and accountability for results
- Highly-organized with a strong work ethic
- Solid ability to analyze issues or roadblocks and come up with creative solutions to the problem
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM systems (Salesforce.com is preferred)
- Technology/Software background (preferred)
- Learning, Performance Management or HR industry knowledge and experience a plus
- Bachelors Degree required
