Plateau is seeking a Website Development Intern to work out of our Headquarters office in Arlington, VA, and assist the Website Development team in the Marketing department. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining the public web presence of Plateau.
Job Duties include:
o Assist in making daily updates to a live website
o Assist in social networking projects (RSS feeds, Twitter, Facebook, etc)
o Assist in website-based internal processes such as:
+ Maintaining a system for requesting and tracking changes made to the website
+ Regular database exports
o Assist in helping end-users with a new CMS recently installed on a live website
Required Qualifications:
o Thorough knowledge of PHP and object oriented programming
o Ability to create and edit HTML and JavaScript webpage code using:
+ FTP (Dreamweaver) client
+ Local CMS (Drupal, Joomla) system
o Good understanding of database architectures
o Ability to make database changes in a MySQL environment
Preferred Qualifications:
o Good understanding and experience with Drupal CMS
o Comfortable using Photoshop with .psd files
o Ability to create and edit flash .fla files
o Experience with Parallels Plesk Panel Linux server interface.
