The WhitePages mobile team is growing fast, with one of TIME magazine?s top 10 apps of the year (Current Caller ID) and mobile products used by millions of people every day. We are looking for a unique person with the combination of technical know-how and keen sense of mobile user experience to ensure the quality and coverage of our products on the variety of mobile devices in the market. This person will also play a key role in helping manage a new initiative to extend WhitePages apps to even more devices. Could this be you?
Partner Management: Manage external app development process, app porting schedule across devices, deliverable management, acceptance testing.
Reviewing product requirements and writing structured manual test cases, troubleshooting defects, and analyzing test results.
Ensure products deliver a world class user experience and meet current best practices on leading mobile OS platforms
Be an advocate for customer and user scenarios
Executing test cases, logging defects, triaging defects and testing on multiple mobile devices.
Develop methods for measuring, analyzing, tracking and communicating test status and maintain quality standards.
Ability to effectively communicate with Engineers and product managers.
Contribute with strong personal effort and commitment to mobile projects.
Technical knowledge, skills, education and experience
Expert in mobile user interfaces, wireless network interactions and expected user experiences for Android, iOS and mobile web browser environments.
A mobile enthusiast and fanatic user of new mobile applications and devices.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to task themselves according to project needs.
Detail-oriented and quick learner who works well with a team.
Ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, and exhibit great follow-through.
BS or advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related technical field.
Experience in testing applications on mobile (across various platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows Mobile) or web.
