As a Getaround Mobile Engineer, you'll be building apps that do more than just rent cars?you'll have the opportunity to create a mobile product suite that works with the Getaround Carkit, a revolutionary piece of hardware that remotely interfaces your car.
You?ll be part of a small team developing mobile applications and infrastructure. Of course, you?ll also have the opportunity to contribute to our entire codebase and help set engineering priorities.
To start with, we're looking for an iOS whiz to help us re-launch our product by creating pixel perfect native interfaces, optimized mobile infrastructure, and a beautiful product. What you'll be doing
Developing native mobile applications in Objective-C
Helping develop back-end mobile infrastructure services in Python
Hacking together quick prototypes in a single afternoon for feedback
Turning designs into pixel-perfect beautiful products
Developing infrastructure to support instrumentation, analytics, and code coverage
Requirements
Computer science, engineering or equivalent degree
Real-world experience in a fast-moving startup environment
High attention to detail and product quality
Goal driven, innovative and highly communicative
You write elegant Objective-C and C++
You have mastery over core areas of iOS programming (e.g. async networking, memory management)
You can design scalable backend architectures (cloud-based API design and development)
Additional awesomeness
You have built stable, high-performance applications using Python
You've worked with Google App Engine, EC2 or some other cloud computing service
You have experience designing and implementing RESTful API's that are tailored to mobile clients
