The Product Support Engineer will be dedicated to resolving technical issues encountered by customers of the REVV mobile platform. This is a perfect role for an engineer with a knack for troubleshooting who also enjoys customer interaction. A good product support engineer will troubleshoot and resolve issues; a great product support engineer will leverage these experiences to help our team build a more robust product.
Responsibilities:
Be the frontline person in the engineering team when it comes to technical customer issues. Provide engineering support for both publisher and advertiser side of Rubicon adserving technology.
You will be hands-on; you will help identify the precise reasons for technical issues and track their resolution. Issue resolution may entail (but is not limited to programming, writing specifications for a new feature, creating a new test case, building an Excel spreadsheet, or manually querying a database.
Work closely with Account Management, QA and Engineering to take charge of and resolve technical customer issues
You are resourceful; if you don?t have something you need you will ask, research, reuse or build as needed.
You enjoy managing multiple ongoing projects; many people will simultaneously be asking for your time ? your prioritization and organizational skills will ensure your work gets done in a timely fashion
You are methodical; you will follow existing workflows and suggest ways to improve efficiency and performance
Build mastery over all internal tools including RFM, REVV, RFD, Salesforce, Helix and external tools including Fiddler, Firebug, and JIRA
Qualifications:
BS or BE degree required, computer science degree preferred
Strong analytic, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills
Good knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, MySQL, Excel
Programming skills in any one of Java, Ruby, Python, PHP, C or C++
Strong with Unix command line and scripting
Experience working with debuggers, browser inspectors, IDE tools, building and deploying software
Fundamentals of HTTP protocol, networking, CDN, Web performance factors
Prior experience with ad management systems, mobile platforms, mobile SDKs, cookies a plus
