Job Description:Xora is looking for a QA engineer to test our software on a wide variety of mobile devices. The ideal candidate must have strong analytical and problem solving skills. This position requires a detail oriented personality and a good written and verbal communicator. This person needs to be able to create, document, and execute test cases involving mobile devices.
Responsibilities:
Execute existing test cases, improve test cases, and write new test cases from requirements.
Report bugs with appropriate documentation to allow developers to analyze.
Reviews requirements for testability.
Drive around testing mobile devices on various cellular networks and in varying GPS coverage.
Perform QA testing for both local and remote engineers and work with the teams to resolve the issues.
Excellent written and communications skills required to interact with diverse engineering teams around the world.
Work with both internal employees and vendors to help troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Understand QA methodologies and offers suggestions for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Bachelors degree, Computer Science or Engineer degrees preferred.
3+ years of QA experience.
2+ years testing of mobile devices / black boxes preferred (Android, Blackberry, iPhone, etc).
2+ years of agile methodologies preferred.
Experience using bug tracking software (Jira, Bugzilla, or similar).
Experience using test case management software (Seapine TestTrack, Mercury Test Director, or similar).
Experience working with remote teams a strong plus.
