Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer (Quality Engineering Department) Mindjet

Mindjet, the world?s leading provider of collaborative work management software, is looking for a Mobile Quality Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring quality of our Android and iOS products. The successful candidate must possess strong mobile testing skills and the ability to work as part of a Quality Engineering Organization. The candidate will work in close collaboration with product management, engineering and usability specialists.Responsibilities:
? Work directly with Product, Design and Development teams to create and execute new test plans for iOS and Android applications as they are developed.
? Prepare, track and communicate test plans/test cases using User Stories.
? Attend daily stand ups, Sprint Planning, Story Time and Retrospective meetings (team uses Agile methodology)
? Execute the tests on multiple devices running iOS and Android Operating Systems. Note: Knowledge of Mindjet's full project offering and the corresponding round tripping & compatibility testing
? Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in the software.
? Establish benchmarks for program efficiency in operating and response times.
? Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent recurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation
? Respond to inquiries from technical support regarding functions and operations of software programs
? Contribute to establishment of standards and procedures for program testing
Requirements:
? To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
? Three (3) plus years of professional QA experience in an Agile application development environment (mobile applications testing required)
Experience in testing native & browser based applications in various mobile platforms like iPhone, iPad, Android
? Experience with Localization Testing
? Experience in Mobile testing tools like Device anywhere
? Experience using emulators for different mobile platforms
? User level familiarity with iOS, and Android or both; higher level understanding of these OS's a plus.
? User level familiarity with Mac OS X and/or Windows; again a higher level of understanding of these OS's a plus.
? Solid understanding of the application development cycle and bug life cycle and familiarity with bug tracking tools.
Experience working in an Agile development environment
? Proficiency with root cause analysis
? Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
? Knowledge of source code control tools such as Perforce.
? Knowledge of UNIX shell scripting
? Experience with continuous integration environments such as Bamboo and TestFlight.
? iOS specific:
o Experience with Xcode and Xcode instruments (not required but a big plus)
o Experience with HTTP monitors such as Charles (a plus)
o Proficiency in stress and crash point testing
o Ability to extract crash logs.
? Android specific:
o Experience with Eclipse and Android SDK
o Proficiency with ADB commands
o Ability to extract crash logs.
? Experience with testing shrink wrap software, client server and SaaS software applications
? Must be extremely detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills.
? Experienced working with different organizations within the company (Support, Product Management, and Program Management) as well as remote employees, vendors, contractors, customers located in the US and internationally.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
? Must be able to work under pressure with patience and professionalism
