ABOUT THE POSITION
The Mobile Solutions Architect is a key role within the Mobile Services Center of Excellence (CoE) leading the way to drive how mobile fits into cross-channel marketing solutions. The Mobile Solutions Architect responsible for leading the design and delivery of ExactTarget Marketing Cloud solutions and technologies to meet client business goals. In addition to supporting customers, the Mobile Solutions Architect will provide guidance, validation and expertise to other members of the Global Services organization related to mobile projects. This position is engaged with multiple areas of the business and works closely with product, sales, sales engineers, and support to deliver world-class mobile services. This position reports to the Global Practice Manager, Mobile Services.
A successful Solutions Architect has strong experience in multiple digital marketing channels (mobile, email, social, web), enjoys developing technical solutions, and working directly with clients to meet their business needs. An ideal candidate has a mobile technology or consulting background, works independently, thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, communicates tactfully, and is able to design, test, and deploy cross-channel software solutions.
This position is based in the United States preferably Indianapolis or at one of our other ExactTarget Marketing Cloud office locations in New York, San Francisco, or Bellevue. Those living outside of Indianapolis should expect periodic travel to our headquarters.
?Be a cross-channel solutions expert. Understand the full suite of ExactTarget Marketing Cloud products, APIs, SDKs, relational data model and capabilities with a focus on how Mobile products fit into cross-channel solutions.
?Lead consultative engagements with clients on the technical and business challenges related to their digital marketing initiatives
?Present high-level overviews of ExactTarget Marketing Cloud architecture and integration capabilities.
?Create, manage and present an actionable BRD/FSD (Blueprint) that aligns a customers' business needs to that of the ExactTarget Solution.
?Support ExactTarget Marketing Cloud Solution Consultants with sales opportunities by validating solutions.
?Remain current with mobile industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
?Contribute to the advancement of the Mobile Service practice by documenting solutions, creating templates, and sharing best practices via practice meetings and internal knowledge repositories.
?Work closely with global services, sales, support, and products team to support specific customer requests and escalations.
?Work closely with the Mobile Product Management teams to prioritize additional product features, APIs and SDK enhancements required to implement customer solutions
?Travel to client sites for onsite discovery and solutions presentations. Not expected to exceed 25%.
?Four year college degree (Business, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar degree preferred) or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency
?3+ years experience designing and implementing technical solutions
?Experience with product positioning leveraging feature to benefit analysis
?Understanding of sales process and methodologies
?Excellent strategic & technical thinking
?Ability to consultatively engage with customers and to quickly make complex decisions and advocate for your position
?Thrives in an every changing, entrepreneurial environment where you develop the process instead of operating in a pre-defined one
?Experience leading customer facing discussions
?Experience with Mobile Technologies including: Mobile Application Development, Push notifications, SMS, MMS, Mobile Advertising, etc.
?Experience with web-based On-Demand software solutions
?Experience with data architecture / schema
?Experience with SOAP and REST APIs
?Familiar with systems integrations such as CRM, Content Management, POS/Commerce or web analytics preferred
