The Field Marketing specialist is responsible for educating across the continuum of customers (alliance partners, channel partners, hospitals, professional organizations, etc.) on disease states applicable to biomarkers, the clinical application, utility, and impact of existing and future markers.
Responsibilities:
Development and maintenance of internal and external customer relationships in assigned geographic areas
Maintaining a high level of customer service, and demonstrating accountability for their part in the entire corporate growth objective
Serves as the disease and assay clinical expert for internal and external clients and home office personnel.
Differentiating Predictive Bioscience?s tissue and urine based bladder cancer tests from other diagnostic tests in the marketplace by gaining acceptance of its clinical utility in the monitoring and management of bladder cancer survivors and diagnosis of symptomatic patients
Working in an environment where everything is not known and one must have the ability to read, review and interpret ongoing studies and data as one works in real time.
3 to 4 days of travel per week that may include multiple overnights
Drive regional sales growth of the CertNDx Molecular Diagnostic Products
Execute field technical training and customer road shows as required.
Relationship development with CEOs, CFOs, etc. is expected as well to ensure that strategy and tactic development meets the requirements of these key buyers.
Develop relationships with key regional/national opinion leaders, especially in the areas of urology and anatomic pathology.
Travel with Field Sales in multiple districts to facilitate the development of a product knowledgeable organization.
Responsible for educating early adopter urologists, clinical staff and administrator, and working with the Director of Managed Care to establish local reimbursement
Work with teams to execute technical presentations, develop regional marketing strategies, obtain competitive information, and drive tactical and strategic sales and marketing approaches.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of clinical or sales experience and/or education in molecular diagnostics or pharmaceutical area.
At least 3 years of experience in marketing, product management or a related function
Experience in selling or marketing to clinicians and specialists outside of the clinical laboratory setting.
Proven successful track record in medical diagnostics and/or device sales. Marketing experience a plus.
Understanding of the IVD market (both lab services and diagnostic products)
High degree of flexibility with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proven record influencing and gaining the respect of thought leaders in the field
Excellent problem solving skills
Experience in ?ground floor? market development- i.e.; establishing strong alliances with key urology opinion leader, leading and coordinating regional programs, working with managed care, society leadership and advocacy groups
Firsthand experience of selling a diagnostic product that involves changing the clinical paradigm- preferably in the molecular diagnostics space.
Ability to create success by professionally presenting the PBS Molecular Diagnostic products to both individuals and groups.
Must believe that effective management and effective strategy development come from understanding the detail
Proven ability to work effectively in a small, entrepreneurial organization and be self driven and directing
Advanced leadership skills.
Effective negotiation capability, ability to clearly identify and overcome customer objections
Highly intelligent, with an ability to effectively target their territory, develop a plan, work the plan, and readjust the plan as needed
Undergraduate degree, B.S. in Life Sciences preferred.
