Molecular Laboratory Associate Predictive Biosciences
The Molecular Laboratory Associate ? DNA Assays is responsible for helping in validation of newly developed PCR based assays in preparation for upcoming clinical studies and CLIA laboratory processing. The Associate will perform all testing consistent with established procedures and quality standards.Responsibilities:
Become proficient in DNA based laboratory techniques including end-point PCR and real-time PCR assays.
Perform required assay validation experiments to support initial tests.
Process large volume of samples in support of clinical trials and CLIA laboratory processing.
Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, and results reporting.
Adhere to laboratory quality control policies, document all applicable quality control activities, perform instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance where required.
Identify, troubleshoot, and document problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in biological science or other related discipline.
3-5 years experience in clinical laboratory setting with experience in CLIA laboratory a plus.
DNA procedures including sample prep, PCR, real-time PCR, and sequencing.
Full understanding of QC and QA within a clinical lab setting.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel) and ability to learn new software packages and incorporate into daily laboratory processes.
