10gen is looking for undergraduate students to join the Marketing team this summer. The Community Marketing intern will be responsible for supporting our the developer community surrounding MongoDB. MongoDB reaches about 8 million developers globally and the community intern will have the opportunity learn from and interact with MongoDB core contributors and evangelists. This is a great opportunity to learn more about MongoDB, open source communities and the database marketplace. Marketing interns at 10gen build broad experience with community management, lead generation, marketing processes and CRM tools. In addition, interns gain exposure to all aspects of 10gen's business through professional development lectures and mentorship. Past interns have joined the company in full time positions after graduation.This is a 10-week internship based in 10gen's NYC office. The internship offers a competitive salary.
Responsibilities
Build systems and processes to support our network of MongoDB user group organizers
Write content for MongoDB Community pages on MongoDB.org
Collect and organize content produced at MongoDB User Groups around the world
Document core processes of MongoDB User Groups
Learn and engage with the MongoDB Community
About You
Self starter who is smart, driven, and hard working
Interested in technology, startup culture, and new tools
Organized, detail-oriented and competent at managing multiple, simultaneous tasks
Willing to learn lots of new things in a constantly changing environment
Creative and innovative -- able to introduce new ideas to augment existing concepts
