To assist the Driller in all ground/floor operations dealing with all the Motors (Electrical and Combustion). The Lead Maintenance man on the Rig. Key to any Drilling Operation.
Responsible for all of the Rig Maintenance.
Service and maintain all rig engines.
Service and maintain all electrical pumps.
Maintain, clean and service the generator/SCR house.
Supervises and assists the maintenance of pipe handling equipment.
Maintain Oil Inventory
Accurately keep products labeled and inventoried.
Cleans up and reports spills.
Keeps accurate fuel inventory and logs daily.
Maintains fuel system and checks several times a day.
During tripping operations, is responsible for assisting the Driller with floor operation as Floor Captain.
Guides and coaches Floorhands on Floor operations.
Responsible for all daily paperwork.
Assists the Driller with supervision of the Floorhands during drilling operations.
Directs the Floorhands on instructions given by the Driller.
Strives for growth and advancement to Derrick position.
Begin developing customer service abilities.
Begin working on record keeping and documentation.
Experience and Skills:

1-2 years of experience as a Floorhand.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Must have good reading, writing, comprehension and organizational skills.
Must have strong leadership abilities and be able to effectively communicate with others.
Must have the ability to problem solve, to apply critical thinking, common sense, able to reason and handle stress well.
Must be committed to a high standard of safety, and be willing and able to comply with all safety regulations and Company safety policies.
Must have a positive and professional attitude, be reliable, self-motivated and maintain a strong work ethic.
Must be willing to travel to work locations.
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, bend over, kneel, crouch and crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, lift up to 100 pounds and push/pull/move up to 150 pounds.
This position requires specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to successfully perform all functions of the Human Performance Evaluation (HPE) for this position.
