THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI), headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota for more than three decades, merged with Insight Imaging in 2012 to create one of the nation?s largest radiology providers for fixed site and mobile diagnostic imaging and interventional services. Together we have 116 retail imaging centers, 128 mobile units and operate in more than thirty states. Our organization will serve nearly a million patients in 2013, offering a wide range of screening, diagnostic and interventional procedures that complement each community?s needs, in collaboration with radiologists, healthcare providers, hospitals and health systems. We currently have an attractive opportunity for a MR Technologist at our San Francisco center working Monday ? Friday 10:30am ? 7:00pm.
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, perform all required diagnostic MRI scanning procedures with knowledge of all pertinent technical and academic areas to produce consistent high quality examinations.
?Perform all required diagnostic MRI scanning procedures through proper positioning and technique, consistently demonstrating good judgement in evaluating the diagnostic studies.
?Screen patient before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination (i.e., pain, claustrophobia, metallic objects, isolation patients, etc.). Obtain and review the requisition for examination to obtain information such as procedure requested, clinical history, patient condition or any other special requirements.
?Thoroughly explain procedure to be performed to alleviate patient anxiety and facilitate patient cooperation. Monitor the condition of any patient within the department and assist the radiologist in performing needed medical attention, if applicable.
?Comply with company operational and safety policies and procedures. Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and emergency response procedures, where applicable.
?Maintain the MR scanning equipment in good operating order. Clean and disinfect equipment and area after each use. Maintain work area in an orderly manner. Check to ensure emergency equipment is in good working order. Report any hazardous conditions or equipment breakdowns to responsible supervisor.
?Routinely prepare examination for interpretation by the radiologist to include correct identification and image processing, adequate clinical history and other relevant image studies for comparison (if available).
?Assist radiologist during the administration of contrast media and practice medical aseptic procedures as required. Recognize allergic reactions and respond in accordance to company policies and procedures for emergent patient care.
?Assist with patient scheduling and patient preparation required prior to examination.
?Assure that ?patients first? customer service is provided to patients, referring physicians, their staff.
?Conduct examinations with regard to patient?s age, condition or other special requirements.
?Comply with all applicable laws, rules and regulations, the company?s policies and procedures, and The InSight Integrity Program.
?Perform other projects/tasks, as requested by the Company.
?ARRT (MR) registered technologist, current and in good standing
?Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
?Licensed Radiological Technologist in California
?Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
?Prefer one year?s experience as a MRI Technologist
?Prefer bi-lingual in Cantonese/Mandarin and English

?Working knowledge applicable to MR scanning technology with specific references to cross-sectional anatomy, medical and surgical disease, and scientific principles as applied to MR scanning.

?Operate and adjust MR scanning and ancillary equipment.

?Venipuncture Certification (where applicable).
?Maintain the confidentiality of patient records and complete administrative records and reports.
?Schedule, organize and complete work in accordance with required workloads.
?Read, interpret and follow internal quality standards and government regulations.
?Understand and follow specifications and instructions.
?Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergencies.
?Capable of maintaining basic life support (CPR).
