JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Description
Buyers are responsible for procuring approximately 1.5 million dollars annually in facilities maintenance materials using the client's system and Storeroom Solutions, Inc.'s proprietary software program. Reporting to Site Managers, Buyers perform as part of a team providing secondary purchasing support to other client locations. Buyers are also responsible for ensuring that materials are accurately received in the client's system and that orders are processed and expedited in a timely and efficient manner. Successful Buyers will develop and maintain strong client relationships, keep an open line of communication, and maintain control of all aspects of purchasing.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree desired; certification in inventory management or purchasing a plus
Strong aptitude with Microsoft Office Tools; MRP system experience preferred
Three to five years MRO procurement experience
Experience and familiarity with inventory control, receiving, and shipping processes
Experience in developing and managing suppliers
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, negotiation & problem-solving skills
Self-starter and self-motivated; successful in a team environment
Team-player
