In partnership with the University of Southern California, 2U has launched a high quality and innovative Master of Social Work (MSW) degree program delivered online. The mission of the USC School of Social Work is to prepare competent and knowledgeable social work practitioners who can provide leadership in complex and culturally diverse urban settings in regional, national and global contexts.The MSW Regional Field Development Coordinator will be responsible for new agency development and placement recommendation within a specific region. The MSW Coordinator will be expected to coordinate the ?lead-to-close? process for acquisition of new agencies as well as maintain and build on existing relationships to ensure quality internships for their assigned students. The goal of the position is to qualify and confirm multiple potential agencies per student, to ensure students receive the highest quality ?placement match?.
Research, outreach and contract acquisition with agencies
Identify and pre-qualify Field Instructors
Conduct agency confirmation visits, provide written assessment of agency and Field Instructor
Relationship management for continued partnership with agencies
Attend local state and regional association events and conferences
Review student placement applications
Make recommendations for placement sites
Conduct site visits both virtually and in-person
Education and Professional Experience:
MSW required
Minimum of two years of post graduate social work experience preferred
Prior Field Instruction experience preferred
Demonstrated expertise in a variety of the field?s concepts, practices and procedures
Outgoing personality with strong communication skills
Must be comfortable making cold calls
Salesforce (or other sales database) experience preferred
Must be confortable working in collaborative teams
