The Multimedia Director/Producer manages, directs, and produces a variety of video projects for Splunk.
This is a management position, responsible for high-level coordination and program development. This role manages the production team, including videographers and post-production specialists, and multiple agencies.
The Multimedia Director/Producer works with Splunk executives and content owners to create and implement a consistent, impactful strategy for Splunk marketing through video. This role manages the workflow from pre-through post-production to meet project requirements and help maintain a cohesive creative vision.
The Multimedia Director/Producer also works as an active director/producer, directing video shoots, managing complex production schedules, and coordinating resources. This role is also required to project and track production budgets.
The Multimedia Director/Producer acts as a script supervisor and approver. He or she works with internal content owners to create consistency for Splunk video scripts and push them through the approval process.
The Multimedia Director/Producer works in the Splunk studio at San Francisco HQ, and on location. Some travel may be required, from local to international. This position will report into the Creative Director.
Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
- Pre-production planning and coordination for video shoots
- Scheduling and resource management
- Script supervision and content management
- On-site video production and direction
- Post-production including basic video and sound editing
- Basic design reviews for 3D, motion and on-screen graphics
- Manage internal video production team
- Manage multiple agencies and outside resources
- Create budget proposals and manage budgets, POs and invoicing
- Manages equipment inventory, procures new equipment
Requirements: I've already done that or have that!
- 4+ years managing individuals and/or teams
- Strong understanding of the entire video production process from concept to delivery
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to present ideas to executive level
- Understanding of video internet sharing and posting (YouTube, Vimeo)
- Experience in Tech-related field
Education: Got it!
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in video, sound production, or broadcast journalism.
