A veteran back-end developer who loves relational databases and readily embraces extreme scalability and performance challenges.What You'll Do:
Scale our MySQL infrastructure to support our rapidly-growing 100+ billion row data set
Develop powerful tooling, automation, and proxy software, capable of interacting with hundreds of servers concurrently
Build core functionality for our in-house framework?s database wrapper, lightweight ORM, and model base class
Architect data storage solutions to support new product initiatives
Lead the way in reducing complexity at the most fundamental layers of our technology stack
What We're Looking For:
A senior programmer with 5+ years of professional experience focusing on back-end web development and database administration
Proven success in a large-scale, high-throughput environment ? preferably a top-20 consumer-facing website
Deep knowledge of MySQL, InnoDB, and Linux
Familiarity with other relational databases, as well as NoSQL solutions
Curiosity, intelligence, and an equal willingness to learn and teach
