MySQL DBA Weebly, Inc.

We are hiring a MySQL DBA to help maintain and grow our cluster of MySQL machines across multiple datacenters.

You'll be instrumental in running a network that is:

One of the top 60 networks in the US (according to Quantcast)
Receives many hundred million pageviews per month, from tens of millions of unique visitors
Managed by a small team of you and 2 others
Datacenter redundant in near real-time


You must:

Share on-call responsibility
Have a car
Be familiar with datacenter operations and best practices
Be familiar with the LAMP stack
Know MySQL in and out
Be very familiar with the intricacies of Master-Slave replication
By very familiar with SQL, and how to design a schema that scales
Be familiar with networking concepts and troubleshooting
Have experience running a large amount of MySQL database machines


Your responsibilities will include:

Managing a large number of servers across multiple datacenters
Responsibility for diagnosing and fixing any issues with database machines
Making sure our slave and DR slaves are running and functional at all times
Giving feedback to engineers on their requested data definition changes (ADD TABLE, ALTERs, etc)
Running all data definition changes and making their they complete in an orderly manner
