Revolution Foods is currently seeking a dynamic National Director of Sales for our Home Office Team. This is a new position triggered by explosive growth and is an opportunity to help build an effective sales strategy and national sales team in 8 markets in 2012-2013 and at least double this number in the next 4 years. We are seeking a leader who can build strong relationships with, and drive results from, market sales leaders across the country. Revolution Foods was recently rated #262 in fastest growing companies from Inc. magazine and the speed of growth will only increase. We are creating a national movement and look forward to adding a team member to further speed up our growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a mission-driven and savvy relationship-builder to lead business development and partner outreach in a fast paced and growth oriented enterprise.
Internal sales planning:
Work collaboratively with VPSP and market leaders to build annual national and regional sales strategies
Support the VPSP in providing strategic direction to market sales leaders with regard to meeting and exceeding revenue targets Work with in house systems team to ensure Salesforce is meeting internal reporting needs for both home office and market sales leaders
Forecasting and business development reporting to VP, School Partnerships On-going sales pipeline management reporting and updating as appropriate, through Salesforce Engage and manage supporting Revolution Foods? collateral and resources throughout the sales cycle
Implement a system of competitive analysis and research at a national and regional level
Training and skills building:
Codify and build upon existing training modules for all levels of sales professionals within Revolution Foods Develop new, innovative professional development paths for entry level sales employees to director level sales employees
Identify training gaps with individuals and gaps within the group, design effective methods for addressing skills and competency gaps
Travel to markets for side by side training with all Directors of Partnership Development and Regional Vice Presidents
External sales responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with School Partnerships team to identify, develop and close opportunities in new markets and/or large, complex opportunities in current markets
Generate interest in Revolution Foods and represent the organization at conferences, industry events, speaking engagements and other key business building engagements
Travel to existing markets to help regional sales leaders close complex sales Increase Revolution Foods? presence across the country, traveling to new markets and selling our vision to community and school leaders
Experienced sales executive with successful history of producing significant sales results through teams of sales reps.
Must have had full accountability for pipeline of $20M - $25M annually of sales or business development related goals.
Engaging presence and strong ability to build authentic relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
Solid analytical skills ? ability to understand constraints of the business model while remaining creative and resourceful in meeting partners? needs.
Experience influencing people remotely through mutli-unit management, experience facilitating effective webinars and training modules.
Proven track record of setting clear, measurable goals, tracking progress against them, and attaining high levels of success.
Prior experience within the education reform community is desired; demonstrated affinity for and interest in the mission of Revolution Foods required.
Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to be part of a growing, fast paced environment where systems and processes are still being developed
Proven record as an effective project manager; strong organizational skills and follow-through.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and remain solutions-oriented with limited direction.
Strong sense of self-awareness, ability to be upfront and honest and a willingness to adjust strategies and approaches when needed to achieve the highest level of results.
Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced team environment.
Minimum 5 years sales or business development management experience in a high growth, fast paced team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Sharp mind for the detail and vision for innovative and entrepreneurial growth.
Strong self-starter and producer who can lead growth and change.
Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred, with formal sales management training.
