About the role:
The central theme of your career is telling stories about companies, people and brands using data as the backbone of the narrative. You're an accomplished writer who can assimilate complex business challenges through a combination of first and third party data sources to distill actionable insights from noise.
You will help tell the story of the Foursquare data set and audience to a diverse group of national brands and marketers. Storytelling with data will be part of your responsibility, but your impact will also extend to shaping industry perception of Foursquare. This could include developing and managing industry events, helping drive revenue through collaboration with agencies and brands on the next frontier of metric-driven ad solutions, and general problem solving with an eye towards building revenue channels. You will sit within the Monetization infrastructure but you will work closely with MarCom to ensure all materials, events, and communications are brand-appropriate.
Brainstorm, resource and compose industry specific white papers and thought pieces
Manage and expand partnerships with relevant advertising industry publications
Coordinating events for the sales team with key senior company execs
Help drive revenue with Account Executives as national advertising data resource by deriving insights, themes and presentations for client meetings
Work closely with Account Managers to ensure all learnings from in-market campaigns are threaded throughout our evolving story to advertisers
5-7 years of industry experience in strategic insights, data analysis, B2B marketing or relevant fields
Writing samples as the primary or co-author demonstrating familiarity with data as means of telling a cohesive and actionable story
Experience in event management (Ad industry specific events a plus)
Excel wizardry and mastery of Keynote
Ability to function as a brand ambassador with senior clients and marketers
Comfortable with aggressive revenue targets and a willingness to find new ad opportunities with existing industry relationships
