GATR Technologies has an immediate opening for a Network Administrator with the following credentials and experience:? Bachelor?s degree in network/programming or related discipline and 3 years of experience
? Microsoft MCITP preferred
Job Summary: Achieve optimum use of GATR computer networks by performing needs analysis, procurement support, installation, training, and problem resolution for local and wide area networks. Responsible for configuration, operation, administration, and security of network server hardware, operating systems, and communication links. Define and implement solutions to integrate desktop and shared devices into local and wide area networks and/or other host-based networks. Recommend appropriate computer tools to users including equipment, software, documentation, and training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
? Evaluate and install microcomputer hardware and software products
? Control PC/LAN systems and data security, including backup/recovery procedures
? Administer company e-mail systems
? Add and maintain users on the network, assigning application access, ensuring security, and maintaining configurations are within standards
? Provide users with computer, peripheral, and printer support, providing technical advice and problem resolution
? Coordinate smart phones and tablets with company email, VPN, and network
? Maintain phone system, providing phone support and training to new users and resolving technical issues
? Maintain and administer company website
? Maintain inventory of software and all license and copyright agreements, update revisions, and service/maintenance arrangements
? Document and manage GATR corporate network topology
? Develop network setup and training documentation
? Anticipate future PC/LAN hardware and software needs for planning and budgeting purposes
? Develop annual IT Plan and provide input to GATR?s annual Business Continuity Plan
? Configure routers/modems and rework for contract-specific requirements
? Perform other related duties as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
? Strong organizational skills
? Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team atmosphere
? Experience with multiple servers in Windows environment, printer and peripheral maintenance, network security
? Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
? Experience with Watchguard Firebox preferred
