Network Administrator Narus
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED As a Network analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the computing needs of Narus? internal end user. The ideal candidate for this position is organized, detail oriented, knowledgeable and experienced in the support and management of Microsoft based laptop and desktop computing systems, support and management of Linux environments, has great communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Laptop/Desktop hardware and software installation, configuration problem resolution
Address end user networking needs, including provisioning wired network connections to end users, configuring wireless connectivity for end users, and troubleshooting end user wired and wireless issues
Monitor and manage daily server backups, as well as perform and validate restores as needed in a timely manner
Manage IT hardware and software inventories, including asset tracking and management, in coordination with Narus? finance
Tracking and management of virus protection software across all applicable platforms
Add/change/deletion of end user accounts with MS Active Directory, NIS and other authentication system as required
Basic networking troubleshooting
Network, server, and data processing monitoring
Monitor systems for capacity and performance and create metrics reporting.
Help in IT initiatives and projects
Troubleshooting issues in a production environment related hardware failures, services failing, memory thresholds, disk drive utilization, network bandwidth utilization, network connectivity, and data processing job failures.
Provide user administration support
Identify, recommend and document process improvements
Other duties as assigned.

3-5 years work experience as Windows and/or Unix/Linux Server Administrator or equivalent.
VMware experience is a plus
Experience with Windows and/or Unix/Linux server configuration and administration that includes day-to-day monitoring and maintenance activities.
Understanding of and experience with Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory & Domain architecture, DHCP, and DNS
Understanding of user administration through Active Directory and Exchange
Practical understanding of networking - routing, subnets, UDP, TCP, IP, & VLANs
Understanding of or experience with scripting - batch, PowerShell, VB, Bash scripting
Must have ability to communicate complex technical problems concisely and professionally to technical and non-technical audiences.
Must have acute attention to detail. Many responsibilities precisely following complex documented procedures
Must be able to work well in a self-managed environment
Must have strong communication skills and ability to work individually, within a team, with other groups and with customers.
Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities professionally
