Network Administrator Reval
About The Position
The network administrator position is located in our office in New York City. The responsibilities for this position include helpdesk and network administrator duties and this person is also expected to participate in worldwide projects and to set IT policies along with the team. The person in this role will be expected to assist in remote user support in other Reval offices across the world and perform administration on Reval?s infrastructure. We?re looking for a good natured, technically sound, self-starter who likes dealing with end users and infrastructure. Good problem solving skills are a must for this position.
The successful candidate will report to the Manager of Corporate IT systems in NY. You must be able to work with minimal supervision. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn and grow in terms of their career and level of responsibility. The person in this position should expect to occasionally work evenings and weekends as needed.
Provide end to end level 1 and level 2 support to all departments with problems related to all hardware, software and network technologies
Work on global projects alongside rest of IT teams in other Reval offices
Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of all hardware and software processes and maintain inventory
Perform end to end email system administration, Outlook and Exchange 2010, such as directory updates, troubleshooting, distribution lists and backup
Manage new hires/termination process, which includes setting up/deleting active directory, Exchange, spam filter, RSA, keycards, smartphones, Blackberry and Cisco phone accounts
Manage infrastructure security, which includes virus protection, patch management, access control and audits
Perform telephony administration such as adding/removing/changing users, editing phone numbers, and directory
Monitor and troubleshoot servers, VMs, applications, VPNs and internet links
Train/educate end users during new application deployment, for best practices, company policies and procedures
Determine infrastructure needs, and procure hardware and software as required
Support team in analyzing and resolving critical problems involving any part of the infrastructure systems
Coordinate vendor escalations and support for critical issues, acting as a bridge between the vendors' engineering resources and IT team
Will be required to work outside usual hours of business during outages and business emergencies
Responsible for the successful operation of the office
Provide regular status reports to management
Manage project time, status and expense reporting appropriately
Attend competency, department and organizational meetings as required.
Technology Skills Requirements:
A deep understanding of Windows XP/7/8 and desktop support
Hardware support (break/fix, PC and laptop setup, PC peripheral equipment, printers, desk and cell phones, etc.)
Knowledge of basic TCP/IP concepts
Windows 2003/2008 services in AD environments
Exchange 2003/2010 server administration
Knowledge of networking
Knowledge of VMWare and servers
VPN technologies including SSL VPN a plus
Knowledge of firewalls a plus
Knowledge of Cisco VoIP telephony a plus
3 years of helpdesk and network administration
Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
